Paris in the Springtime

As the New Year fast approaches I thought I’d round off the year with a personal post and share some images of one of our trips.   Twenty Thirteen has been quite a year for us, we’ve covered so many awesome weddings and made lots of new friends along the way,  we made the nervous decision to re-launch the wedding side of our business as Tandem Photo which has taken off better than we could’ve ever have hoped for and we’d like to thank everyone for all their support and encouragement.   To  all our lovely couples who allowed us into their lives this year to capture their day we can’t thank you enough and to all our 2014 couples we can’t wait to tell your story!  Look out for a round up of all our 2013 weddings later this week.  Back in March I celebrated a landmark birthday and to soften the blow and to soothe my ego David took me to Paris for a week, I’d been to France many times before but never to Paris so it made it all the more special.  We rented an artists studio apartment in Montmartre and I soon forgot what age I was turning as we soaked up the city life amongst the locals and filled our boots with cheese and wine.    One of my oldest and best friend’s Victoria and her daughter Paloma who is my god daughter arrived for the weekend to help celebrate and Paloma kindly let me indulge my plan for a photo shoot of some sorts in the streets of Paris.  I had chatted to my friend Natasha of Modiste a few weeks earlier about it and she kindly let me take some of her gorgeous head pieces with me to photograph.  I hope this inspires you to plan a trip, soak up the beauty that surrounds us, have cake with a friend and smile every time a Vespa goes by.  We wish you all the very best for 2014 and here’s to all the journeys we’ve still to travel.Special thanks to David, Victoria and Paloma xxx
