Vicki & Colin – A Seamill Hydro 50’s inspired wedding with a gorgeous sunny First Look

This was our first wedding of 2013 and it set us up for an amazing year, I remember leaving the Seamill Hydro that night with huge grins on our faces, it was the best start to the season.  Colin and Vicki had opted for a humanist service in the evening so knowing that we would miss out on the stunning views over Arran we suggested doing a First Look.  This may not be for everyone especially if your having a more traditional wedding but we would love it if more couples decided to try it.  You still have that nervous excitement of your groom seeing you for the first time in your dress but in a more intimate setting with only the two of you or with your bridal party, leaving precious time to chat with friends and family after the service.  For their First Look we started off in the grounds of Kelburn Castle where the boys had decorated one of their favourite trees before heading along to Portencross Beach and then onto the Seamill Hydro.  Vicki and her bridesmaids looked stunning in their Vivien of Holloway dresses and Vicki & Colin’s daughter Isla was so cute in her matching dress.  We couldn’t believe our luck with the weather as it had been snowing the week before but in the lead up to it Vicki kept saying all along don’t worry it’ll be fine, I love her positive outlook to life and even when there was a power cut at the reception she was excited that they would get to cut their cake by candle light, love this girl!  You can read more about their day and how they met over on Mrs P & P’s blog here.  Vicki & Colin you know we loved being part of your day and we wish you all the very best for the future and can’t wait to meet your new arrival (due in a couple of months) I’m sure Isla will make the best big sister! xxAlternative Wedding_0074Useful links
